Promising taxi

For the exhibition of Soviet design achievements, a model of the "Perspective Taxi" (PT) designed in 1964 by Yuri Dolmatovsky and Alexander Olshanetsky was commissioned. The PT was a small bus - compact, maneuverable, capacious, with a flat body floor, inner luggage rack, sliding doors and separate driver's cabin. Two prototypes of the PT were made at the VNIITE pilot production plant, one of which within a month worked in the streets of Moscow and was highly appreciated by drivers and passengers. Alexey Kosygin, Chairman of the USSR Council of Ministers, personally ordered to begin mass production of the PT, but even so, the concept car did not go into mass production.

To make the layout, we had to make 3D models of all the small parts. Including the wheels. We studied the photos of the prototype. We made drawings. And only after that we started to make moulds for casting.

In this model, the car is designed with a decorated interior. You can turn the steering wheel and open the doors.

The resulting work is very impressive. Due to the uniqueness of the design itself and the meticulous execution.
